The summer of 2011 was marked by the 20th anniversary of the Classic Open Air Festival on Berlin’s enchanting Gendarmenmarkt square.

Every summer since 1992, the Gendarmenmarkt square in the heart of Berlin has been transformed into a spectacular backdrop for the Classic Open Air Festival - a series of concerts which attracts crowds from the world over. Since its inception, the festival has attracted abaout 640,000 people to 112 concerts, with a musical range covering everything from opera, operetta and stage musicals, to pop classics, soul, swing and jazz - and much in between.

In the special anniversary year we had seven concerts, in through sound and vision you will be equally enchanted, our productions use light, lasers and fireworks to spectacular effect.

From July 5^th to 9^th 2012 you can join us to enjoy a magnificent evening concert under the setting summer sun, surrounded by the breathtaking architecture of one of Berlin’s most renowned city squares!
